ROME (AP) — Atalanta continued its rich vein of form by scoring three goals in the first 15 minutes on its way to an impressive 5-0 win over Salernitana in Serie A on Sunday.
Atalanta is now unbeaten in its last 11 matches in all competitions, and it has won its last six Serie A games. The team is in fourth place in the Serie A standings, just one point behind third-place Inter Milan.
Atalanta will face Olympique Marseille in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-finals on Thursday. Marseille is second in the Ligue 1 standings, just two points behind leader Paris Saint-Germain.
